'Writing for me is nothing more than another form of media, like news, or a newspaper, or a tabloid. It is a way for writers to tell readers to start thinking, a way for the writers to put different thoughts on paper, thoughts that might not normally present themselves to the public. I also believe writing is a way for people to get their own thoughts out. When I write I don't write to make other people happy. I will not change something about the story because someone doesn't like it. I use writing as away to give myself the opportunity to explore the endless possibilities of the world, let my mind go free without worry. I go into my own little world where anything I put on paper is real. No one is telling me that something is not possible. Writing is my own thing, something that no one else can ever take.' - Scott Harris, Grade 12
