Student Advising

Parkmont provides a nurturing educational environment to all students. Attention to individual student needs is administered through the advisory program. Advisors work with students individually, in small groups, or with entire classes. They consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, psychologists, and social workers in order to develop and implement strategies to help students be successful and enhance students’ personal, social, and academic growth. They work as a student's advocate promoting pride in accomplishment and fostering self-discipline and individual responsibility.

College Couseling

College Couseling Parkmont coaches and guides students in:

  • putting together a list of prospective colleges
  • the college application process
  • researching financial aid resources

Individual students and their parents can arrange up to three hours of consultation. To arrange an appointment, please e-mail or call the School at 202.726.0740.

Counseling Services

Couseling can be made available to students when the advisor, student, and parent sees the need.  This should be discussed with the Dean of Students, Nijole Gedutis.
